About

Production should not be your API change detector.

Contractive is building a self-maintaining API agent for engineering teams whose products depend on payments, identity, commerce, AI, communications, and infrastructure providers.

The idea comes from a real failure mode: an upstream provider can quietly rename or restructure data without crashing the application, allowing incorrect data to flow downstream unnoticed. Dependency updaters cannot see that problem, and generic tests catch it only when someone anticipated the exact change.

Contractive runs inside the customer's own repository and CI, fingerprints the provider surface the code actually uses, deterministically checks contract changes against that usage, and prepares a narrowly scoped, AST-validated pull request when a real break is found.

Our operating principle is precision over volume. Provider coverage is curated and deliberately maintained because a noisy detector or stale catalog entry erodes trust faster than a smaller, dependable catalog.

Help shape the first catalog.
